National BJP Leader, Kisan Morcha Secretary and Himachal Pradesh Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said " Bharat ke Betieo, Congratulations " on their great wining. In a press statement here today, He said we all are proud of our team, due to their hard practice India clinched the women's Kabaddi World Cup championship for the third time in a row, defeating debutant New Zealand 49-21 in the summit clash played at Guru Gobind Singh sports complex on Thursday. He said that the Indian eves led their New Zealand counterparts for most part of the match and held out a strong challenge by the visitors in the second half, on course to a resounding win. That's why our worthy Indian team took home a first-place prize of Rs one crore. Grewal said that we are proud of Anu Rani which was adjudged the best stopper while Ram Bateri was declared the best raider. Both received a Maruti Alto car each. He said on that the traditional rivals India and Pakistan will clash in the finals of the men's draw of the Kabaddi World Cup here on Saturday. The Indian women's kabaddi team lifted the trophy on Thursday. Grewal stated that the final match, to be played at the Guru Nanak Stadium here, will be witnessed by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his Pakistan Punjab counterpart Shahbaz Sharif. He said that the winning team will take a cash reward of Rs. 2 crore. Grewal said that the presence of chief ministers of Punjab of both countries is expected to boost trade, cultural, sports and tourism ties between both countries. He said that as programme both chief ministers will also attend the closing ceremony of the fortnight-long event. He said that Sharif, the younger brother of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, arrived in New Delhi on Thursday and met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other leaders. He arrived in Chandigarh on Friday evening. Grewal stated that Sharif is also scheduled to visit his family's ancestral village, Jatti Umra, in Tarn Taran District, 35 km from Amritsar in Punjab.
